2018 is very nearly finished, and I’d like to share with you what we have achieved this year, and what we have planned for the next year.
This year, we have gotten our Inferno game engine from a mess of frameworks to a complete C++ library of its own. We also created a rather well constructed game in GameMaker Studio 2 in 48 hours (Visit that project here). We have even made a (very small) start on our next major release, this will be built in Inferno and we expect to see it with its first public alpha builds being published on itch.io sometime next year.
I have already mentioned our next game, but next year we also plan to upgrade the Inferno engine further to enable it to support more platforms (for example Universal Windows Platform/Xbox One, or Android). All of these plans are currently undeveloped but, once they are completed, I am sure we will produce something amazing.
Last thing I would like to say for the year is to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, have a good one!
Thanks for continuing to follow developments!
Update: Just to make it clear, there will be no more blog posts or development updates until the start of next year (unless we have something for you to celebrate Christmas/New Year.
